Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December, 1991. He is the son of Manny James and Patty James of mixed race. Her mother is caucasian while his father is Nigerian. In the year 2010, James completed his studies at Sanderson High School. Then James attended Wake Forest University in order to obtain a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics. James became famous when the show The Bachelorette as a reality television star. He was selected in 2020 to become the bachelor for season 25 of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in 2021. James would be a perfect match for the job as his height, beauty and physique are humorous. Rachael Krakconnell, whom he had chosen as his girlfriend throughout the season. James partnered with the dancer Arnold who was popular at the time to participate in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold placed 12th.
